Happy Feet

Italy 7 - 8 001

Dan and I got to have a date night last week and I really wanted to do something different then our usual dinner and movie.  What I really wanted to do was go somewhere and sleep but that wasn’t really an option so I spent some time looking for a couples massage or something relaxing like that.  Massages were so expensive but in my Google search I came across Happy Buddah Foot Reflexology.  It looked very relaxing and it was relatively cheap, plus I figured, that way, we could still talk on our date.  It was AMAZING!  All the reviews in Yelp are right.  It was one of the most relaxing, energizing things I have ever had done.  Plus it was a fun adventure with my husband.  When we drove up it looked kind of shady, funny musak was playing, there was a big screen TV with Animal Planet from 1992 with Chinese sub titles.  Yet, despite the funny surroundings, It was honestly one of the best dates ever.  I will admit, I did miss my baby girls.  It is so hard to be away from them, but it is so important to give my other “baby,” my husband, the attention and love he needs and deserves.  Its so easy  to forget about your relationship when you are building new relationships with babies.

    Hi Kerstin,

I’ve been following your blog since day one. You have a beautiful family. I’m a mom of almost 3 year old boy/girl twins. I know first hand how important it is to spend time with your husband while your babies stay home. Like most people now a days everyone is looking for a good deal. I have a suggestion for you. Check out Groupon in San Diego. Here’s the link http://www.groupon.com/r/uu161648 You can find a different deal everyday from $30 1 hour massages to $20 tickets to Romeo & Juliet Ballet (last week’s deal) to $35 for $75 worth of food and drink at local restaurants. They have different cities as well. Check it out. My husband and I are on a tight budget and this is what we use to stay on budget and have a great time. Hope you enjoy.

    Kerstin,

I forgot to thank you for the tip on Happy Buddah Foot Reflexology. I have a birthday coming up and will take advantage of their birthday deal.

    Thanks!!!

I have followed your “events” since you received your first blessing and now the 2nd. I guess I should say that your first blessing was finding your husband and the girls would then be blessings 2 and 3!!!

Good to see you back on TV this morning. You are the only reason I watch the AM news show. Welcome back. I know it is probably bittersweet: hard to leave the babies but also good to get back to your career.
