Tell Us What You Think…
An injured dolphin was spotted off the coast, but federal regulations don’t allow anyone to come to its aid. Does the law meant to protect marine mammals actually hurting the wildlife? Should the law be adjusted?

You betcha that the law should be changed. If a marine animal is clearly in danger or needs immediate help, then the help should be rendered. I agree with j hunt, that we are too self centered and only if the law says we can do it, then we do it. Otherwise we can’t do what is best, OH MY GOSH!!! Granted there are a lot of people that can’t make decisions on their own, but when it comes down to something like this, the law should be changed and used on a case by case basis. Sometimes the animal advocates carry things too far!!!

This is really a sad situation,if you saw a dog injured on the side of the road you would stop and help in anyway you could or a child, but OH thats for the people who actually give a crap, this is what is wrong with America, only worry about yourself, forget the things that can’t ask for help! How sad is that, let a poor animal die for what!Always remember do unto others as you would like done onto You!!! Yes, I think Sea World should step in and help that dolphin. That’s ridiculous to wait until it beaches itself. By then, it’ll probably be to late.

I think the Sea World experts should be allowed to immediately render aid to the dolphin. It will most likely be in much worse shape if/when it finally beaches itself.

I think this is a classic example of animal activists going too far in getting a law passed that prevents aiding animals of any type that are in obvious distress. I love animals as much as any activist and would never want one of my 2 dogs or 2 cats left in the care one of these so called ANIMAL LOVERS.

hell yah!!! just because its a dolphin doesnt mean we cant help. i mean seriously, if you were a dolphin and you we injered, wouldnt you want some help??? i would!!! . . . . .and yah the law should be adjusted! by leaving it there, it could die. and if it dies then thats another dolphin that cant be bred! and as we all know, the number of dophins is going down. so unless we dont want our future children to see a dophin then we should help it right???

yes, the law should be adjusted. in this case, it appears evident the dolphin is in distress; therefore the law should be adjusted on a case by case basis. what alternative awaits the dolphin?
