Twelve suspected drug dealers and users were back in court Tuesday in connection with a raid at San Diego State University.
Authorities said 95 SDSU students were among those arrested since January in “Operation Sudden Fall,” which was sparked by the death last year of a college freshman found dead with cocaine and alcohol in her system the morning after she attended a fraternity party.
If you could ask San Diego State University President Stephen Weber anything about this situation, what would it be? We might use your questions in an upcoming interview!
The seizure of mass amounts of drugs troubled me (I am an SDSU alum). However, the fact that weapons were seized makes me wonder about the effectiveness of SDSU’s campus security team. Moving forward, what is being done to make sure guns/other weapons aren’t present on campus grounds?
This isn’t a question, more of a comment or observation. Under your watch, two students have died (leading to the undercover drug operation that led to all of those arrests) and there was the taser incident on campus involving security and a skateboarder.
As an observer, this leads me to believe that maybe some severe and swift changes in the administration are in order, including a possible major reexamination of your duties and your role within the university.
Thanks for your time.
